**Job Summary:**
Looking to hire compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide assistance and care to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care adult residential facilities.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications following proper protocols and guidelines
- Ensure residents' rights and privacy are respected at all times
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow HIPAA regulations to protect residents' confidential information
- Respond promptly to residents' needs and emergencies
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for immediate assistance
- Provide safety and support during crises situations.
- Deescalate crises situations with behavior redirections
**Experience:**
- Previous experience in caregiving, behavior homes, or long-term care facilities preferred
- Familiarity with medication administration and resident rights
- Understanding of behavior redirection is a plus
- Ability to drive may be required for transportation needs
