Job Description: As a High-Volume Bakery Manager at Joly Restaurant Group, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our bustling bakery department. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5 or more dedicated bakery staff members, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of bakery staff to achieve excellence in their roles.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular training sessions to develop the skills and knowledge of bakery team members.
• Production and Quality Control:
• Oversee the production of a wide variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Develop and implement standardized recipes, production processes, and quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
• Monitor inventory levels, ingredient quality, and product freshness to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
• Operational Efficiency:
• Manage bakery operations to meet or exceed established productivity and efficiency targets.
• Optimize workflow and scheduling to accommodate fluctuating demand and ensure timely delivery of fresh bakery products.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficient resource utilization practices to enhance profitability.
• Customer Service and Satisfaction:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house and catering, to fulfill customer orders and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality bakery products and exceptional service.
• Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and effectively, striving to exceed their expectations at every opportunity.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience 5 years in a bakery management role, preferably in a high-volume food service or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
• Solid understanding of bakery production processes, including mixing, proofing, baking, and decorating, as well as knowledge of various baking techniques and ingredients.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
