Roles and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop and manage the construction schedule, ensuring alignment with the client’s timeframe and approved by the Construction Operations Manager (COM).
  • Regularly update the project schedule in Procore and track all milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure that the project is executed within budget and on schedule, proactively addressing any issues that arise.
  • Conduct daily huddles with the field team to communicate the work scope and expectations.
  • Stay well-informed about the project details and keep the client and team up to date on progress.

Budget and Financial Management

  • Monitor the project budget on a weekly basis and ensure all costs are tracked, including forecasting and change orders.
  • Review job cost reports, identify potential issues, and present them for management review.
  • Update the project budget regularly, including forecasts to complete, within Procore.
  • Track and manage change events and change orders, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Ensure that financial projections are accurate and in line with the project's progress.
  • Procurement and Subcontractor Management

  • Coordinate the procurement of all materials required for project execution, collaborating with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with Estimating and the COM to develop project estimates and manage the subcontractor bidding process.
  • Assist in preparing RFPs / bid packages and track bids through the selection process.
  • Finalize subcontractor selection and manage the buy-out process to ensure scope and budget compliance.
  • Team Leadership and Communication

  • Lead and manage a productive and inclusive project team, setting expectations and ensuring alignment with the project goals.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and work scope.
  • Address any in-house labor issues with the COM and General Superintendent as needed.
  • Be available to assist with unforeseen issues, especially during night shifts, providing guidance and support by phone when necessary.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide the team with up-to-date information on the project’s progress.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain effective communication with the client, keeping them well-informed on project progress and any changes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client, managing expectations and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Attend all project meetings with the client, providing schedule and financial updates, and identifying potential challenges that may affect job progress.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, financial forecasts, and any issues requiring resolution.
  • Ensure all documentation, including meeting minutes and project progress reports, is accurate and shared promptly with the client and internal teams.
  • Skills & Qualifications :

  • Proficiency with Procore Construction Management Software and other project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and engineering plans and the ability to communicate work expectations clearly to the team.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including making financial projections and tracking costs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to delegate effectively and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Professional Development / Knowledge Base :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with project scheduling software, particularly MS Project.
  • Procore experience for project management and tracking.
