Key Responsibilities
As an NVH Performance Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance across various dimensions, including :
Drive NVH solutions for Road Noise, Body Structure, Isolation, and Ride Comfort to meet program targets.
Plan and coordinate NVH benchmarking, standardized testing, and target setting to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Evaluate vehicle NVH performance, escalate concerns, and drive timely resolutions to maintain quality standards.
Present status updates at regular management forums (e.g., VIT, Umbrella) and program gates.
Ensure accurate and on-time completion of the Design Validation Plan (DVP).
Lead root cause analysis and implement effective resolutions for technical issues.
Required Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
Experience in Chassis / Body Structure / Mounts Design and / or Ride Comfort tuning.
At least 1 year of NVH engineering experience with a proven track record in solving technical problems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to guide cross-functional teams, including mechanics, technicians, and engineers.
Familiarity with NVH benchmarking, standardized testing, and target-setting processes.
Strong communication skills to convey complex issues and data clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with NVH analysis software (e.g., LMS, Head Acoustics, B&K).
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Engineering degree.
Certification in Design for Six Sigma.
Experience in vehicle dynamics or 4-post shaker systems.
Knowledge of Multi-Body Simulation or Adams modeling.
NVH Transfer Path Analysis (Level 3)
NVH Vehicle Airborne Testing (Level 3)
NVH Vehicle Structure-borne Testing (Level 3)
