Product Development Specialist (contract)

This position involves working across multiple disciplines, including research, formulation, regulatory affairs, consumer insights, and quality control. A key responsibility is ensuring that new products are safe, meet consumer demand, and comply with evolving regulations. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to successfully create and commercialize new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior specialists in designing, formulating, and developing new products or improving existing ones.
• Support the team in ensuring new product developments comply with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparing regulatory documentation, reports, and submissions under the supervision of regulatory affairs specialists.
• Prepare reports for senior managers, including testing results, product development milestones, and market research findings.
• Support the evaluation of product stability, shelf-life, and overall quality by following standardized testing procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of product development activities, experiments, and trials, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date.
• Ensure all product-related documentation is properly organized for regulatory and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, marketing, and production, to bring products from concept to commercialization.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or Biology.
• Basic understanding of the food and consumer product industry, including regulations and product types.
• Coursework or certifications related to product development, safety, or regulatory affairs (preferred for some roles).
• 3–7 years of experience in quality or relevant processes.
• Proven ability to lead and manage onshore and offshore teams effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  
  

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $25.43/hour - $39.73/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
