Salary: This ACT 93 position follows the Act 93 Agreement, and would be placed at Grade 17 of the 24/25 school year salary structure
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 260 days/year
Job Goal: To supervise, lead, manage, and support development of all aspects of assigned program(s). This position will be based at Hill Top Academy and oversee Emotional Support programming throughout Student Services at the CAIU.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to the assigned CAIU programs.
2. Complete the annual evaluation process for staff members, including observations and written reports, in order to enhance professional growth and development.
3. Maintain a deep knowledge base regarding state, county, and community agencies and regulations governing Special Education and assigned programs and provide resource guidance for schools, districts, and parents of students served.
4. Ensure all regulatory requirements are met and associated documentation is compliant as well as efficiently and effectively implemented.
5. Lead the planning and implementation of staff development regarding current practices and research in assigned program areas.
6. Participate as a collaborative and integral member of the Student Services Leadership Team to establish, communicate, implement, and evaluate program goals.
7. Provide strong instructional leadership to the programs and the organization to ensure best practices for children with disabilities are implemented with fidelity, including evaluative procedures for assessment of progress within programs.
8. Lead staff, through modeling and collaboration, in the implementation of current instructional and professional technologies to support instructional and professional best practices.
9. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings/communications with staff members on matters of policy, curriculum development, inservice, and related areas of professional or program improvement.
10. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external) by providing timely, solutions-focused responses.
11. Demonstrate a service-oriented manner with customers and clients.
12. Serve as a liaison between parents, school districts, and agencies to promote and ensure collaboration in the community.
13. Coordinate and plan for the purchase of equipment, instructional materials, and appropriate furniture to meet the needs of the students, staff, and/or program.
14. Conduct school and community outreach to identify and provide space for program operations.
15. Understand and implement effective and efficient fiscal planning and procedures.
16. Effectively communicate the budget status, utilizing data to make decisions and recommendations about program sustainability and innovative thinking to sustain the quality of the program and services.
17. Determine required staffing needs and make recommendations for assignment of staff.
18. Utilize effective interviewing techniques and follow established hiring practices to interview candidates and make recommendations for employment.
19. Develop staff work rules and/or school procedural handbooks that align with CAIU, relevant agency, and/or regulatory policies or requirements.
20. Be responsible for ensuring and coordinating the implementation of curriculum and assessments within the educational programs to which assigned.
21. Ensure student record-keeping and school records procedures comply with state and federal law and CAIU procedures.
22. Ensure program and staff compliance with procedures for the security and accountability of school facilities, property and equipment, and students and staff, including planning for emergencies or weatherrelated issues.
23. Assume responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of students and staff, including communication and training staff and students in the procedures to follow in such events.
24. Maintain high standards for student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary in accordance with established procedures.
25. Serve as a liaison, supporting communication between the program, districts, families, and transportation providers.
26. Demonstrate professional, ethical behavior; a strong work ethic; a positive attitude; and a commitment to quality educational services.
27. Actively participate in internal, regional, and/or statewide leadership committees through the CAIU and state regulatory or coordinating agencies.
28. Participate with the Induction Committee to assign mentors, monitor the induction experience, and provide a program of orientation to new staff members, as assigned.
29. Serve as a liaison with graduate programs and students to offer externship opportunities, when appropriate.
30. Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Student Services or his/her designee.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
1. Master's Degree required.
2. PA Certification and/or License as outlined in program specific job responsibilities (to be attached).
3. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
4. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in some or all of the program specific fields.
5. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in administrative or managerial roles.
6. Familiarity with specific staff roles and responsibilities in assigned programs.
7. Ability to effectively lead multi-faceted systems and effectively interact with all levels of staff in varied educational settings.
8. Prior experience developing, leading, and supervising Emotional Support programming preferred
Salary : $101,405 - $119,300
