What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Paving Foreman/Superintendent position at Capital Asphalt, Inc.?
Capital Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an individual with experience in Infrastructure and Civil Site Development. Typical projects include city streets, county roads and State highway work. We are seeking an experienced paving foreman capable of maintaining a solid, experienced paving crew and recruiting/training new crew members as necessary. Very little, if any, travel is required. We work in the North Florida/ South Georgia area. Our company specializes in Paving, Earth Work, Heavy Highway Construction, Concrete and Drainage construction. Candidate is responsible for establishing a safe, accident free job site that runs on or ahead of schedule. Applicants should feel comfortable in a physically demanding and fast paced environment with a wide scope of civil construction field work including earthwork, grading, wet utilities, and paving. Applicants will be expected to track quantities and analyze production, manage the delivery of materials, and work cohesively with project management to ensure compliance with contract, budget, and schedule.
- Customer base is Municipal, State and Private Clients such as Property Managers, Developers and Industrial accounts.
- This is a demanding job which requires dedication to ensure timely and quality paving projects.

Required Experience/Skills:
- At least 3 years of paving experience • Familiarity with compaction procedures.
- Class A License with Dump Truck Experience is a plus.
- Ability to Lute asphalt to the proper drainage and slope.
- Ability to Manage crew to perform installation of asphalt pavement.
- Paver and Roller operator skills.
- Excavation, Drainage and Mechanical Experience.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Email) Job Description.
- Oversee daily operation of the asphalt paving crew including, but not limited to, oversight of paving crew and truck drivers and coordination with dispatcher for proper asphalt delivery.
- Schedule projects and crew members needed to complete projects.
- Meet with engineers or owner representatives on each project to determine what needs to be done.
- Operate heavy equipment.
