General Role Overview:

Capital Brands is seeking a Production Artist Manager who excels in both traditional print and modern digital production, loves problem-solving, and is a stickler for organization and efficiency.
This position is an integral part of the Creative Team and reports to the Sr. Creative Director. The Production Artist Manager will manage a small group of production artists, as well work on production for packaging, collateral materials, digital assets, and more, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards, specifications, and industry regulations. This role will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to produce files that are ready to shine.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Production Excellence
• Manage the Creative Team’s production needs, sharing expertise to streamline workflows and maintain quality.
• Oversee all aspects of production—from prepping files to troubleshooting issues.
• Adhere to brand standards and ensure cohesive designs across all materials.
2. Execute Across Formats
• Prepare mechanicals for a variety of outputs, including packaging, manuals, print ads, and digital content like web banners and interactive assets.
• Adapt parent creative to various dielines, platforms, and screens, as well as multiple languages, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Create and optimize assets for digital platforms, including web and mobile-friendly designs.
3. Advance with Technology
• Use AI-driven tools for image manipulation, workflow automation, and creative scaling to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and update templates, dielines, and design assets using advanced digital asset management (DAM) systems.
5. Maintain Quality and Compliance
• Manage the proofing process, route comments, and implement revisions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Stay informed and adhere to evolving regulatory and legal guidelines.
• Retouch and manipulate images to meet production standards, including realistic shadowing, seamless composites, and photorealistic effects.
6. Collaborate Effectively
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Creative, Product, and INTL) to ensure seamless project execution.
7. Deliver on Deadlines:
• Juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining top-notch quality standards.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Experience: 5 years as a Senior Production Artist or a Production Manager with a strong portfolio spanning both print and digital outputs.
Software Expertise: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Familiarity with Figma or motion-graphic tools is a bonus.
Tech Adaptability: Proficiency with DAM platforms, Asana or other project management systems, and digital-first workflows.
Print and Digital Knowledge: Deep understanding of traditional printing processes alongside experience in optimizing assets for digital platforms.
Retouching Skills: Experience with photo manipulation (such as adding accessories, adjusting the colors of units, expanding an image)
Bonus Points
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for consumer goods packaging
• Proficiency in food photo retouching
• PowerPoint skills

90,000 - 105,000 per year
