Under general direction, leads the administration, growth and development of special (non-financial) asset management activities in all accounts where Capital Bank and Trust Company (CBT) is serving in a fiduciary capacity. Provides guidance and support to internal and external clients on all special assets held in trust and estate accounts to ensure compliance with governing documents, bank policies, federal, state and local laws.
Primary Responsibilities/essential Functions
Reno Base Salary Range: $135,921-$217,474
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.

Primary Responsibilities/essential Functions
- Administers and provides professional management of all real property and all other special assets held in fiduciary accounts at CBT.
- Arranges for the onboarding, appraisal, evaluation, transfer and protection of special assets.
- Resolves issues or problems brought by owners, beneficiaries or trust officers such as requests for special distributions or planning and approving expenditures for care and maintenance of real property.
- Oversees the development and ongoing maintenance of all policies and procedures for all special assets held by CBT in a fiduciary capacity.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures related to special assets are followed in the administration of client accounts.
- Represents CBT on Boards and Committees related to closely held businesses or other special assets for which CBT provides specialty asset management.
- Supports Private Client Services teams’ new business development activities in all local markets pertaining to all special assets.
- Collaborates with other internal team members to provide guidance and training on the administration of special assets.
- Excellent communication skills including strong written, verbal and listening skills.
- Strong initiative, teamwork and organizational skills are essential with the ability to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the wealth management business and trust and estate administration (specifically in dealing with special assets).
- Ability to understand and interpret fiduciary and probate documents.
- The ability to forge relationships with others inside and outside Capital Group that are based on mutual respect, loyalty and trust.
