Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials within or between departments.
- Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material requirements or identify overdue items.
- Requisition materials and establish delivery sequences based on job order priorities and anticipated material availability.
- Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials and coordinate repair/assembly and transportation between departments.
- Verify material types delivered to ensure they meet specifications.
- Monitor and control material movement using conveyor systems and remote-control panel boards.
- Compute materials needed for job orders based on product knowledge and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain records of materials on hand and compile reports.
- Move/transport materials using hand or industrial trucks.
- Maintain perpetual production records to track materials in process using manual or computerized systems.
- Support warehouse logistics through the operation of material handling equipment (MHE).
- Maintain compliance with all federal guidelines, including OSHA standards and VA safety regulations.
This position may require travel up to 15%.
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday – Eight (8) hour shift between 0600-1800 to be determined upon hire.
- Overtime, as required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in materials coordination or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with production schedules and warehouse workflows.
- Ability to use adding machines, mobile scanners, and warehouse management systems.
- Must be capable of operating or being trained to operate the following MHE:
- Stock chasers
- Electric cars
- Stretch wrapping machines
- Pallet jacks
- Rate shop/shipping systems
- Dollies and hand trucks
- Electrically powered stand-up forklifts
- Order fulfillment systems
- Must be able to navigate warehouse environments safely.
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
- $28.86 per hour
- $5.36 per hour Health and Welfare benefit
- Fulltime, non-exempt
