Capital Accounting & Tax, LLC (CAT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital Investment Advisors (CIA), is a rapidly growing tax firm which provides tax preparation and advice for individuals and small to mid-sized companies. We provide clients with a tax strategy in coordination with their financial advisor based on risk tolerance, current lifestyle, and long-term financial goals.

Tax Operations Manager

We are seeking an analytical and results-driven Tax Operations Manager with a passion for client service to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Tax Operations Manager will oversee daily operations of the tax practice and drive organization growth by refining processes and streamlining cross-functional collaboration.

This position is based in our Atlanta, GA office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations across all practice functions (tax advisory, return preparation, bookkeeping, administration, and client services)
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to further integrate the Firm's tax and investment advisory services
• Build reporting frameworks to manage operational efficiency and inform optimized resource allocation
• Leverage existing systems and technology to refine workflows and processes
• Coordinate regular professional development and upskilling opportunities for the team
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of professional services experience working in a project-based role
• Tax preparation and/or Public Accounting experience preferred
• Adept at developing strong relationships with team members and leaders at all levels of the organization
• Skilled at leading effective meetings that generate tangible outcomes
• Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, analytical and diagnostic skills
• Capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Lacerte, preferred
• Experience in Salesforce preferred
