Capital Paving and Construction is hiring Asphalt Paving Labor Trainees for projects in the Central Missouri area. Under supervision, you will experience hands on learning as you develop the skills and knowledge you need to be successful in civil construction trades.
JOB DUTIES:
- Gather tools needed for the day.
- Deliver water to the rollers and plate compactors.
- Operates various hand tools, including but not limited to rakes, brooms, and shovels.
- Participates in traffic control as needed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of, or the ability to learn, safety rules and equipment including identification of precautions for an emergency response to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards, and asphyxiating, toxic, and explosive gases and vapors.
- Demonstrates good workmanship in a neat and timely manner.
- Assist operator, as needed
- Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Must have a valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willingness to undergo a background check, physical, drug, and alcohol testing.
- Night and Weekend work may be required from time to time.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
