Role Description
This is a part-time, temporary, on-site role for an Accounting Clerk at Capital Region Water in Harrisburg, PA. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible to:
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Other tasks related to accounting software, bookkeeping, finance, accounting, and financial statements.
Qualifications
- Bookkeeping skills and basic accounting procedures
- Finance and Accounting knowledge
- Experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting
- Detail-oriented and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related certification is a plus
