General Summary
Responsible for the pre and post-inspection and safe operation of haul trucks, water trucks, skid steer, backhoe and any other equipment assigned, in the course of excavating and processing soil and rock materials.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)
- Pre-Inspection, post-inspection, and safe operation of haul trucks and water trucks.
- Responsible for plant operation assignments.
- Responsible for plant housekeeping assignments “Ground man”.
- Assisting in plant and equipment servicing and maintenance repairs.
- Inspect, ascent, start and safely operate and control assigned off-road mining equipment in a hazardous mining environment.
- Responsible for completing area audits.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times.
- Responsible to abide by and support all company and plant safety policies, rules, and procedures as well as M.S.H.A regulations.

Educational Skills and Experience

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of heavy equipment experience highly desired.
