What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Coordinator position at Capitol City Components?

Key Responsibilities

Review new customer orders with management to establish commitment dates and quantities.
Enter top-level and component inventory jobs to meet production requirements.
Prepare and distribute job documentation, including travelers and drawings, for production.
Serve as a production liaison to the engineering team, ensuring all job documentation aligns with current revisions and requirements.
Coordinate material release based on scheduled job start dates.
Manage updates and redistribution of job documentation for any revision changes.
Support additional duties as required, aligned with experience and company needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required : High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred : Degree or certificate in production management.

1–3 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

Experience with ERP systems; Epicor 10 preferred.

Ability to interpret customer engineering specifications and drawings to determine product and quality requirements.

Soft Skills

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Mathematical and Reasoning Skills

Proficiency in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with arms.

Ability to lift and move objects as needed.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Moderate noise levels, occasionally loud.
