Pay Range: $75,200-$100,000

Role
Manages and maintains responsibility for assigned projects. Ensures that project scope and objectives are met, by managing deadlines, facilitating project meetings consisting of IT and business team members, coordinating staffing requirements and schedules, removing project barriers and monitoring project progress. Helps management evaluate new initiatives and ensures successful project delivery through executing the project management methodology and the software development life cycle. Assists management with preparing project status reports for key initiatives. Accepts Program Management responsibilities in large initiatives where multiple project teams are necessary.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and maintain responsibility for assigned projects, meetings, reporting of project status, coordinating project needs spanning multiple divisions within the Bank and acting as liaison between IT and other stakeholders to remove barriers that prevent a project from being implemented successfully. Follow Bank SDLC to ensure all project documentation is completed and approved by project stakeholders prior to the implementation of the project.
Facilitate project meetings including cross functional project status meetings, project team meetings, sprint planning sessions, and post mortem meetings.
Manage project scope, by planning and tracking project costs, resource hours, and timeline. Working with management to quickly resolve issues that negatively impact project scope.
Assist management with accepting new projects by creating RFPs, providing cost estimates, application analysis and recommendations based upon application and project experience. Help facilitate management planning meetings to determine fit of across all IT teams.
Review and enhance Bank’s SDLC to ensure methodologies meet stakeholder needs and are continuously improved.
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
Assist with periodic testing and implementation of contingency plans to ensure availability of applications in case of system failure.
Follows internal project management methodology by adhering to documentation and projection change control process when implementing application enhancements and maintenance to ensure a stable production environment. Assist with the enhancement of the internal project management methodology.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Experience
Two to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A college degree. Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
Skills
Requires excellent project management skills, and the ability to plan, organize, schedule, and implement multiple technical projects concurrently. Must be detailed oriented and able to lead very large initiatives, with multiple cross team stakeholders.
Experience in working independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving. The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
