What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Automation Install Technician position at Capitol Mechanical?
RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Building Automation System Installation Technician. The majority of system will focus on HVAC systems but include lighting control, security systems, energy management and data collection through both direct install and integration of third-party equipment. Sites include new construction, retrofit installation and expansion to existing controls systems.
- Installation of low-voltage cabling
- Install and terminate control panels and associated components of the Building Automation System and Security System
- Troubleshoot operation of systems
- Commission and document installation
- Communicate issues and/or changes to installation of systems
- Work in office suite including Excel and Word
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints including electrical schematics
- Ability to work on construction site and perform physical tasks associated with the installation process
- Understanding of commercial HVAC system operations and Automation systems
