About the role: You will be working in our Austin, TX location responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing training materials. This role involves working full-time, Monday through Friday.
What you will do:
- Design, maintain, and enhance training materials, including, but not limited to, checklists, job aids, e-learning content, operations manuals, and instructor-led activities
- Design and produce animations and graphics for use in training materials
- Adhere to adult learning design and corporate training principles
- Communicate design rationale
- Assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs that align to the employee lifecycle, departmental needs, and strategic Company-wide programs
- Communicate with coworkers and others in a timely, effective, and professional manner
- Support process changes and new process rollouts, including train-the-trainer sessions
- Audit learning management system for required course participation and necessary system and content upgrades and enhancements, providing formal reports as requested
- Assist with other learning and development tasks as needed
Who you are:
- Experienced: You have a Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Learning, Corporate Training, Organizational Development / Psychology, or related field or equivalent experience. You have 1-2 years experience as an Instructional Designer or similar role. You have basic knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation and training methods and techniques.
- Technical competencies: You have experience working with learning management systems and web/cloud delivery tools. You have knowledge of e-Learning authoring tools, such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar software. You are proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint) and have experience interacting with Adobe PDF documents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills: You have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments. You have strong attention to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency. You have strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You communicate in both a professional and friendly manner with coworkers and others.
- Adaptable: You are eager to use new tools and learn new processes and technologies. You can adapt to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You have effective problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise.
- Coachable: You have the ability to retain and implement instruction and training. You are open to learn and navigate our current processes and systems. You are not afraid to ask questions.
- Positive attitude: You demonstrate a positive attitude. You are courteous and polite, especially when navigating through difficult conversations, problems, or complaints that may arise.
- Exceptional team player: You are able to work in both a team and independent setting. You tend to foster support and dependability towards your peers while also getting your individual tasks done within specific time constraints.
- Reliable: You are able to work during our regular business hours in our Austin location. You are a punctual individual and able to follow an assigned work schedule. You are able to maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Office environment: You are able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
