The Electrical Trainee assists Electricians in the installation, alteration, addition, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials on construction projects. Electrical trainees will be working on commercial, industrial, solar, and multi-family projects. Responsibilities and Duties
- Pulling electrical wire including Romex, MC Cable, underground feeder wire, etc.
- Digging trenches and working in trenches
- Installing and securing cables, raceways, and other conductors
- Carrying material and tools from location to location (possibly up to 75bs)
- Assisting in moving heavy electrical equipment
- Hand bending pipe and other forms of conduit
- Working in electrical panels managing wires
- Taking direction from superiors
- Cleaning up individual work area as well as job site
- Working on extension ladders, scaffolds, and scissor lifts (possibly up to 100 feet)
- Working with power tools and hand tools possibly above head
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times while on the job site
