Knowledge and Experience:
• 5 years related work experience
• Experience in industrial/commercial equipment maintenance and repair equipment required
• Experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, security and computer systems.
Skills:
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple activities
• Good communication, organizational, problem solving, and listening skills
• Handle basic maintenance, repairs and cleaning
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during shift
Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for Inspection, maintenance and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Manage all building security needs, such as maintaining card access systems and security camera systems
• Provides oversight and selection of subcontracted work
• Establish and communicate health and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Full technical knowledge of Facility systems and preventative maintenance practices
• Collaborate and coordinate with management staff to ensure a smooth operation
• Support development or improvement of existing and future facility projects
• Perform routine building maintenance to include but not limit to electrical and plumbing repair, HVAC service, and grounds keeping.
• Other duties as required
Advancement (CBA):
Building Maintenance Technicians will advance by demonstrated ability as evidenced by certification in the following modules:
Class III: Minimum hiring requirements (New-Hires)
Class II: All Class III plus
Preliminary Training Module
Underground storage tanks/fueling system Maintenance Module Texas Commission of Environment Quality, Underground Storage Tank Certification - Class C Bus Lift Maintenance Module
Class I: All Class II plus
Engine Washer Maintenance
Module Bus Washer Maintenance
Module Paint Booth Maintenance
Module EPA licensing - 608 /609
Master: All Class I plus
Advance Schematic Reading Program
Electronic Controllers / Electrical Tech Program
