North Carolina Residential Developer is looking to hire an Office Administrator
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks, supporting staff, and maintaining a professional environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in office management, and the ability to handle various responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills, handling correspondence, answering phones, and responding to emails
- Record keeping: Maintaining office records, compiling reports, and developing ad hoc reports
- Financial: Assisting with financial tasks, such as
- - Bookkeeping, payroll processing, and depositing checks
- - Proactively managing accounts receivables/invoicing, optimizing payables per invoice discounts (e.g., 2/10 net 30)
- Supplies: Ordering supplies for construction projects, identifying opportunities (e.g., promotions) to reduce supply costs, and ordering office supplies and equipment
- Support: managing customer change orders, coordinating providing administrative support, obtaining construction permits, and assisting with onboarding new employees
- Maintenance: Operating and maintaining office equipment, and coordinating building and maintenance issues
- Operations: Continuously look to improve office process efficiency
- Scheduling: Organizing calls, meetings and events
- Events: Organizing catering, coffee, or other refreshments for events
- Required to work in the local office from 25 to 40 hours per week
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Experience in office management practices and procedures.
- Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with clients and vendors.
- Ability to manage files efficiently, both physical and digital.
- Familiarity with construction office management is advantageous but not required.

Required
- 2 years minimum of Office Administrator Experience
- High proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, GPA 3.0
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience at another construction company
