GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Procurement and Contact Operations Division of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a Contract Specialist that performs advanced Contract initiation and procurement work. Work involves coordinating, developing, and evaluating a broad range of contracts. May supervise the work of others.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates and / or develops solicitations, contracts, and amendments by identifying provider resources, describing services to be rendered, evaluating information supplied by bidders, and negotiating contract specifications.
- Reviews and / or develops bid evaluation instruments and the modification of solicitation, contract boilerplate, and other contract-related documents. Reviews and / or conducts needs assessments to determine requirements for the purchase of goods or services
- Coordinates and facilitates procurement-related meetings such as kick-off and pre-proposal meetings, post-award conferences, team briefings, and evaluation scorings.
- Manages solicitations life-cycle : develops solicitation document (RFOs, RFPs, IFBs, etc.); manage evaluation of vendor responses and award contracts for high-dollar purchases.
- Negotiates and recommends award for contracts, contract renewals and amendments
- Performs general purchasing functions as needed by the division
- Performs related work as assigned
- Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
- Attends work regularly in compliance with the agreed-upon work schedule
- Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and / or protected information
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
