WORK SCHEDULE
Standard business hours are M-F, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the Waste Permits Division.
YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ's Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do.
This position is a member of our Waste Permits Division.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, geology or chemistry.
- Training and / or experience performing research, lab work, or investigation.
- Experience in reviewing or analyzing technical information or technical data.
- Training and / or experience using Microsoft products.
- Training and / or experience interpreting environmental rules and / or regulations, policies, and / or procedures.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Engineering Specialist I-V state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Environmental Permit Specialist I-V series.
