Job Description
TPWD MISSION
To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Under the direction of the Park Store Manager, this position performs highly complex (senior-level) inventory and / or retail sales work and is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and directing of the overall operations of the park's store which includes a stand-alone retail store and boathouse for boat rentals at Tyler State Park.

Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Department rules, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience :
Three years of experience in retail sales operations.
Experience as a team leader or supervisor.
NOTE : Experience may have occurred concurrently.
Licensure :
Applicant must possess a valid state driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience :
Experience with customer service and public relations.
Language :
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Skill in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Non-smoking environment in State buildings and vehicles.
