About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic accounting team. This hourly position plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, supporting the company's financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process incoming invoices from vendors and suppliers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting software, ensuring correct coding.
- Prepare and schedule payments for approved invoices, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and other billing inquiries.
- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payment confirmations, and related documentation.
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure compliance with the company's budget and policies.
- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable, including cash flow forecasting, aging reports, and supplier payment reports.
- Provide support for any additional accounts payable-related tasks as required by the finance department.
Requirements:
- College graduate; degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar administrative role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
- This role is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods.
- May require occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Compensation (USD):
- Hourly rate: $25.00 - $30.00, based on experience.
