Capstone IT is helping our client to hire an experienced Project Manager with specialized experience in the electrical utility domain, focusing on customer metering (AMI-Advanced Metering Infrastructure). This role requires managing complex projects from start to finish, leveraging advanced tools like Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project to ensure successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing large scale projects ($10M-$100M) in an enterprise level environment. This is a 12-month contract with an opportunity to become a long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full project lifecycle in the electrical utility sector, with an emphasis on customer metering initiatives.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources using Microsoft Project, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial guidelines.
- Act as the main liaison for project stakeholders, facilitating consistent communication and engagement across all project phases.
- Apply risk management practices to identify potential issues early and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience managing projects within the electrical utility industry, specifically in customer metering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
- Proficient in using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project for project management and team collaboration.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
- Familiarity with the latest industry regulations and standards.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
