The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of Human Resources in supporting multiple geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: a world class onboarding experience, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy enforcement, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

- Manages job postings, pre-hire screening, new hire orientation, and employee data management.
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
- Maintains employee files, records, and various personnel reports
- Maintains and processes unemployment claims and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Manages unemployment hearings, when necessary.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the support of special projects as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- A bachelor's degree and/or combination of 3 – 5 years of HR experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of solid experience managing employee relations issues.
- UltiPro HRIS experience a plus
- HR Certification, or the willingness to become certifeid within the first year.
