About The Role

Captions is hiring a Strategy and Operations Associate to join our team and drive critical projects across the company. As our first hire in the function, you’ll work closely with leadership to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, research growth opportunities, and implement new processes. No two days will be the same, and you’ll have the chance to work on a range of challenges while collaborating with teams across the company to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

• Facilitate cross-functional planning processes, working closely with leaders in finance, marketing, and product management
• Execute ongoing reporting of OKRs and KPIs across the company, developing dashboards and presenting insights to leadership
• Conduct in-depth market research, including competitive analysis and customer insights, to inform long-term strategy
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Analyze and report on performance metrics across the company, creating dashboards and presentations to provide insights for leadership
• Use data to identify opportunities to drive operational efficiency, and implement solutions to enhance productivity through process improvement and automation
• Implement scalable systems and processes to support new sales function, including CRM optimization, sales analytics, and pipeline management
  
  

Special Projects

• Develop business cases and project plans for new strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company goals
• Complete research and analysis to inform core business decisions, such as pricing optimization
• Build financial models to assess new opportunities and provide data-driven insights for decision-making
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 – 5 years of experience in management consulting, investing, and/or business operations at a high-growth startup
• Analytical and adept at turning data into actionable insights
• Problem-solver who’s comfortable with ambiguity
• Clear communicator and first-principles thinker
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and pride in your work
• A team player with strong people skills, a low ego, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Excited to learn new things and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Bonus: Coding and/or entrepreneurship experience interest in creative tools

Compensation Range: $90K - $125K
