Location: Car City – Comstock Park (Onsite Position)

Claims Representative/Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Administer claims (shops/customers).
- Professional phone work.
- Provide direction to customers including shop information.
- Interact with the shop to provide detailed list of covered components and customers coverage at time of repairs.
- Understand and follow the Company’s service contract including all policies and procedures.
- Provide service to existing clients related to making payments to shops, answering questions, and providing documentation as needed.
- Set appointments and/or client calls to review existing policies, review liability limits and exposures, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals.
- Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
- Collaborate with team members, provide expertise, and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
Qualifications/Essential Functions:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 years of relevant customer service experience.
- Full-time availability Monday-Friday starting at 8AM (i.e., 40-hour weekly schedule and overtime potential as needed). This is an onsite position.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Company products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned customers and prospects is preferred. Willing to learn all of this in addition to being flexible, adaptable, and willing to help others is a must.
- Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.
- Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail such as proper notetaking, organization, multi-tasking, follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve problems either with or without direct supervision (i.e., as expected and depending on the matter).
- Have excellent time management skills to complete tasks/responsibilities as expected with a personal accountability mindset.
- Technology and computer proficiency, including Company management systems and website navigation.
- Effective interpersonal communication, the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Physical demands: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and handling phone calls. Walk to supervisor or colleagues in the shop as needed/expected for specific questions while abiding by safety protocol.
- Complete Company and job specific training as expected. Abide by Company policies/procedures.
Compensation: $20.00-23.00 per hour (nonexempt) based on experience.
