What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Collision Equipment Repair Technician position at Car-O-Liner Southwest?
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Repair Technician to join our team and support our growing customer base in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance (especially welding) and possess a strong technical background. Interest in the automotive repair industry and cars is a must. Willingness and desire to service a large geographical area is also a must. Company vehicle will be provided and all travel & work related expenses covered.
In addition to hourly and overtime compensation, candidate will have the opportunity to earn commissions on repair work and equipment training offered to customers once the technician is ready to conduct such work. Commissions can add up to 50% additional compensation.
Duties
1. Diagnose, service and repair Car-O-Liner branded equipment at customer locations throughout major markets in Oklahoma and Arkansas
- Spot Welders, MIG/MAG Welders, Riveting, Vehicle Measuring Systems, Frame Straightening Equipment, Anchoring & Holding, Dent Repair
2. Perform field repairs, maintain appropriate vehicle inventory stock, and respond to customer requests for service and information
3. Proactively visit customer locations to conduct routine inspections and identify potential problems before they lead to equipment failure.
4. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
5. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
Travel
Ideal candidate will be well located geographically (near Ft. Smith and/or Northwest Arkansas) to service the company's Oklahoma and Arkansas customers. Our major markets across these states are: Oklahoma City, Tulsa, NW Arkansas (Bentonville, Fayetville, Rogers), and Little Rock, but we have customers across the entire territory.
Requirements / Skills
- Proficient in English for effective communication
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to perform basic electrical tasks
- Ability/familiarity with welding is a plus!
- Experience in industrial maintenance practices
- Strong analytical skills to maintain and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
