Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Position Summary:
The logistics specialist is responsible for the overall management of Car Tech products by handling the logistic operations that involve transaction schedules, maintain inventory records, and manage maintenance programs. The logistics specialist would also review proposals and cooperate with subcontractors. To that end, we are looking for an experienced logistics specialist who will not only be able to oversee the preparation, storage, and shipment occurring within our metal stamping company, but also possess strong communication, organizational, and management skills. The ideal candidate will be a responsible individual who has experience as a logistics specialist in the car manufacturing industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Automation / Manufacturing
· Track movements of company products from start to finish
· Organize and maintain transaction schedules, inventory records, and inventory control program systems
· Communicate within the company with regards to major logistics updates
· Ensure smooth lines of communication with company partners regarding logistics
· Support the maintenance and implementation of logistics policies to increase work efficiency and reliability
· Promote the timely processing of orders
· Facilitate subcontractor activities
· Conduct cost analysis for supplier, storage, and shipping expenses
· Demonstrate the ability to direct employees in the warehouse area in an effective manner
· Provide clear documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments
· Cooperate with other departments in order to drive company quality, safety, delivery, and cost initiatives
· Prepare accurate and understandable performance reports regarding the logistical process
Skills and Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in logistics management or coordination preferred
· Proficient in MS Office / MS Word / MS Excel
· Proficient in MRO / ERP / SAP / EEI / PLEX
· Ability to accomplish goals, cooperate with coworkers, multitask, and meet deadlines
· Leadership and interpersonal skills that will translate to the ability to motivate team members
· Familiarity with technical systems and processes for tracking inventory
· Experience in writing reports and summary documents
· Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
· Outstanding organizational and management skills
· Diligent with great attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work
· Able to train others in this position if needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires lifting of parts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain/Operations Management,
or equivalent preferred
