Job Summary: Carbon Activated Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of equipment used in the production of activated carbon at our Mount Hope, WV facility. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of maintaining and optimizing activated carbon manufacturing equipment, including pulverizers, briquetting machines, carbonizing furnaces, and activation furnaces. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth functioning of all machinery, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all activated carbon manufacturing equipment.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing mentorship and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, reducing unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently, minimizing production interruptions.
- Collaborate with the Process Engineering team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Manage budgets and timelines for equipment maintenance and improvement projects.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in manufacturing equipment technology and recommend appropriate upgrades

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance within an activated carbon manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of pulverizers, briquetting machines, carbonizing furnaces, and activation furnaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering or maintenance teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in an industrial setting.
