Job Type: Full-time non-exempt / On Site Leominster, MA
Work Schedule: 8 Hour Shift- Day (7am-3:30pm)
Subject to change based on customer/production demand
Education: High school or equivalent
Job Summary:
The Production / Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing good quality products with minimal waste using standard operating procedures (SOP) and other instructions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Receive training for the manufacturing of products, including c/c plate, u-channel, cylinder, etc., as required
- Assist in the preparation of materials for production
- Assist in disassembling cc plate tables & impregnation plate tables
- Manufacture good quality products with minimal waste based on SOP
- Accurately record/track production
- Adhere to all safety guidelines regarding the handling and disposal of materials in the plant
- Follow 5S requirements to ensure all tools, machines and working areas are clean, safe, and organized
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification and Skills/Minimum Job Requirements:
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
