Manager/Mechanic - Processing Facility
We are seeking a skilled Manager/Mechanic for our second shift 3:00 pm to midnight to oversee operations ,maintain equipment, and perform building maintenance at our small processing facility to ensure smooth operations and maintenance of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Duties
- Supervise and coordinate processing facility general laborers
- Schedule and direct work of facility employees
- Maintain employee time clock and ensure accuracy of employee hours worked
- Communicate and coordinate with owners
- Print and distribute paychecks
- Oversee completion of and maintain employee records
- Maintain shipping and receiving records
- Coordinate and manage incoming shipments, and unloading
- Record inventory of processed and unprocessed material
- Oversee staging and loading of outgoing material in supersacks on pallets
- Manage inventory of shipping and freight supplies, tools and spare parts.
- Ensure neatness, cleanliness, and organization of facility work areas, warehouse, and offices
Safety and Compliance
- Drug test employees weekly
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment
- Diagnose and repair simple mechanical issues of simple processing equipment, screeners, conveyors.
- Understand simple electrical principals (understand how to use a multimeter)
- Not necessary but beneficial skills -operate and repair an excavator
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Mechanical repairs to simple plant equipment such as screeners and conveyors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
