Additionally, they will provide staff development through effective supervision and participate in the planning and development of appropriate programs and services for special education.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a PDE Supervisor of Special Education Certificate, preferably with minimum 3 years special education supervisory experience. Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The ability to work collaboratively with staff, co-workers, community members, parents, board members, schools, agencies, and administration is crucial. Proficient data collection, data reporting, and data interpretation skills are also required.
Physical Requirements
The candidate must be able to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry, or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities. They must also be able to independently ambulate in and around work locations and travel to and from assigned work locations without employer support.
