About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Special Education Supervisor to lead our special programs and services team at Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21. As a key member of our administration, this individual will be responsible for supervising and coordinating special education programs, providing guidance to staff, and collaborating with schools and community agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee referral-placement processes, ensuring accurate placement of students in special education programs.
- Recruit, screen, and recommend staff for employment in areas under supervision.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with parents, school personnel, agency representatives, and community stakeholders.
- Approve student placements and develop individual educational programs (IEPs).
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, ability to communicate effectively, and experience working with students with diverse needs.
