What You'll Be Doing:
The Assistant Active Adults Coordinator supports the Active Adults Coordinator in managing daily operations, program oversight, and staff supervision for the Active Adults Division. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring high-quality programs and events. The Assistant Coordinator will play a key role in personnel management, program delivery, operational excellence, and special events, with a focus on serving the 55 community.

- Serve as a point of contact for the Carbon Valley Community Center program participants, staff, and volunteers.
- Assist with staff management to include hiring, training, and evaluation of staff members.
- Prepare and adjust schedules as needed for the entire Active Adults department staff including drivers, guest service representatives, and special events staff.
- Supervise Friendly Fork program. To include scheduling of volunteers, checking daily rosters, giving daily announcements, and the reporting of bi-weekly lunch attendance to the Assistant Active Adults Coordinator.
- Assist in the management of special events including set up/tear down, cleaning, planning, staff scheduling and supervision of the event.
- Possess a level of technical expertise to utilize programs such as CivicRec, Paylocity, and Microsoft Suite.
- Collaborate with marketing to promote programs, activities and special events.
- Focus on daily operations including daily cleaning, take inventory of supplies, and submit maintenance work orders whenever necessary.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures and confirm accuracy of daily deposits.
- May be a driver for an active adult trip.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of staff management experience
- Two years of customer service experience
- CPR, AED, first aid certification, or the ability to become certified within the first 90 days of employment
- Experience working with the 55 community highly encouraged
