The Position
As a Cardiac Clinic Triage Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care in an ambulatory cardiology setting, performing telephone triage, patient education, lab result reviews, and assisting with in-clinic procedures, including IV Lasix administration. This role is essential in ensuring efficient and compassionate care for heart failure patients.
Your Day-to-Day Work
- Conduct nurse telephone triage, providing clinical guidance to patients.
- Educate patients and families on heart failure management, medications, and disease progression.
- Manage and administer IV Lasix therapy in the clinic.
- Review lab results and follow up with patients as needed.
- Coordinate care and referrals to other specialties, including general cardiology, electrophysiology, and community resources.
- Assist in emergency situations within the clinic.
- Collaborate closely with medical assistants, schedulers, and providers to support patient care.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
Environment and Shift Details
This is a full-time, onsite position at our MultiCare Deaconess Hospital Campus in our Heart Failure Clinic. The role operates Monday through Friday in a fast-paced cardiology clinic. Nurses must be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.
Experience & Qualifications
Must-Haves
- Active WA Registered Nurse (RN) license before start date.
- Ability to obtain ID and OR RN licenses within 90 days (paid for by CSC).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong clinical skills in triage, patient education, IV therapy, and cardiac nursing.
- Excellent communication and computer skills (EPIC experience preferred).
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience in cardiology, heart failure, or outpatient triage nursing.
- Knowledge of EKG interpretation and IV medication administration.

The pay scale for this position is $34.32-$52.83, influenced by your experience, skill set, and education.
