What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Adult Services position at Cardinal Cushing Centers?
At the Cardinal Cushing Centers, we support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing possibilities and opportunities for growth and advancement. Our programs for students, adults and community members include education, employment training, transition services, residential care, therapeutic and recreational services.
The BCBA will support the clinical needs of individuals in our residential and day programs. This is done through conducting assessments, reviewing data, and developing treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Department
· Works collaboratively with program team members to assess, develop, implement, monitor, and revise data collection systems, behavior support strategies/plans, and training programs.
· Provide training to staff on the implementation of individual specific behavior support strategies, data collection, and on broader topics related to managing behavioral, social, or personal challenges of individuals served.
· Coordinate and facilitate meetings of the PBS Leadership Team
· Participate in educating new hires and existing staff in PBS & ABA, as needed and requested in Adult Services
· Maintain the implementation of Universal Supports in all program settings
· Conduct observations to assess program integrity using the QUIC (Quality of Universal Implementation Competency) at least annually
· Writes Positive Behavior Support Plans, as needed for individuals following the completion of a comprehensive Functional Assessment, which may include direct and indirect assessment
· Reviews and graphs required data for individuals’ PBS plans, as needed
· Participates in assessment and observation of referred individuals for placement in day and residential sites to determine supports needed for successful transition
· Participate in clinical team meetings at assigned program sites. This includes working in conjunction with program team members to prepare and lead team meetings.
· Complete documentation related to all aspects of services provided and ensure that all relevant records are maintained per regulatory requirements. Maintains accurate records and files.
· Participate as part of the interdisciplinary team for review of individual charts.
· Provide support & training to supervisors on the implementation of the QUIC and other management tools developed under PBS
· Develops skill acquisition programs and assessments for ISP/DHSPs as needed by programs
· Work with families, guardians, and program staff regarding behavioral needs of participants
· Review Incident reports and Therap notes and conduct debriefing as needed.
· Assist in behavioral incidents that may occur
· Assures adaptations necessary for individuals to participate in home, work and leisure activities
· Develops, implements and evaluates innovative opportunities for people with disabilities to live, work and recreate in their communities within the Department’s areas of responsibility
· Assures Department promotion of and compliance with the principles and standards of DDS Survey and Certification system as it relates to clinical services.
· Attends Human Rights Committee meetings, DDS meetings, interdisciplinary teams, and relevant supervisor groups within the organization regarding behavior supports.
Staff
· Promotes the ability of staff to provide excellent services and supports, including the implementation of a staff training plan
· Provide performance feedback related to behavioral support competencies to the Program Administration/Residential Managers to aid the evaluation of program staff.
Related Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years experience with Applied Behavior Analysis and behavior modification techniques. Supervisory or managerial experience in the field of disabilities preferred.

Formal Education, Certification, Licensing
A. Master’s degree in behavioral/clinical/education discipline.
B. BCBA required.
C. Valid driver’s license
D. Receive and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care
E. Attends clinical training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in particular behavioral development needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
