Job Overview:
Cardinal Education is hiring a skilled and passionate Academic Coach for SAT/ACT to deliver personalized, one-on-one test preparation that empowers students to achieve their highest potential. In this part-time role, you will guide students through targeted lessons, data-driven progress tracking, and proven strategies across all sections of the SAT and ACT exams.
Responsibilities:
- One-on-One Coaching
- Work closely with students to help them achieve their SAT and/or ACT goals through tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions.
- Progress Analysis & Lesson Preparation
- Analyze student progress and prepare customized lessons based on individual needs and strengths for both SAT and ACT content.
- Training & DevelopmentComplete our comprehensive training programs to help you:
- Identify and address students’ unique strengths and weaknesses
- Build students’ curiosity and confidence in their abilities
- Guide students through academic struggles, reduce stress, and help them reach their potential
Qualifications:
Eligibility
- Ability to teach all sections of both the SAT and ACT (Reading, Writing, Math, Science for ACT, Essay for SAT)
- Passionate about education and helping students succeed
- Have a willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet objectives
- Ability to commit to part-time tutoring for at least 1 year
- Availability of at least 5 hours per week
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as an SAT or ACT Prep Teacher
- Proven success in coaching students to achieve high scores on both the SAT and ACT, including perfect scores
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university.
Knowledge and Skills:
- A high level of energy and sociability
- Exceptional writing ability
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of people, including executives, students, and other coaches
- Ability to work independently yet dutifully within company pedagogy and processes
- Apply relentless dedication to delivering results
- Drive to help cultivate student thinking so that students become well-rounded and no longer need coaching
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate for tutoring up to 30 hours/week
