Remanufacturing Technician I

Cardinal Equipment Services remanufactures beverage dispensing equipment to include soda fountains, valves, bar guns, coffee brewers, and backroom equipment.

Work as part of a team having responsibility for safely completing the disassembly and cleaning of cold drink vending machines and coolers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work area that is clean and orderly.
• Follow instructions based on customer and company requirements.
• Disassemble coolers and vending machines using power, hand and air tools.
• Removal of parts for production or salvage.
• Removal of trash, rusted and broken parts.
• Cleaning compressor area.
• Use of a pallet jack to move equipment in and out of the department.
• Identifying and marking equipment for salvage and removing usable parts.
• Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
• Assist team in achieving facility and department goals.

Requirements and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of manual and electric tools, especially drills
• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read, speak and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential job function.
• Ability to operate Company computer system.
• Follow direction of team leadership.
• Ability to use good judgement and problem solving skills.
• High School Graduate or GED, or any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
• Operate assigned equipment and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
