Work as part of a team having responsibility for safely completing the disassembly and cleaning of cold drink vending machines and coolers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work area that is clean and orderly.
Follow instructions based on customer and company requirements.
Disassemble coolers and vending machines using power, hand and air tools.
Removal of parts for production or salvage.
Removal of trash, rusted and broken parts.
Cleaning compressor area.
Use of a pallet jack to move equipment in and out of the department.
Identifying and marking equipment for salvage and removing usable parts.
Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
Assist team in achieving facility and department goals.
Requirements and Skills:
Strong knowledge of manual and electric tools, especially drills
Strong hand-eye coordination
Ability to read, speak and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Attention to detail.
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential job function.
Ability to operate Company computer system.
Follow direction of team leadership.
Ability to use good judgement and problem solving skills.
High School Graduate or GED, or any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Working Conditions:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
Operate assigned equipment and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
