SHIFT HOURS: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
RATE OF PAY: $26.25 per hour with a $2.00 weekend shift differential
TOTAL NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 4
JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for advanced industrial maintenance tasks throughout the plant. This role involves performing emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment, conducting routine checks, and ensuring all machinery operates efficiently.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform industrial maintenance throughout the plant as needed.
- Conduct emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair packaging and production machines.
- Perform electrical maintenance on control circuits, 3-phase motors, VFDs, AC/DC drives, and power supplies.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Program and configure PLC devices for operational efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with Facilities Maintenance to complete tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advance Industrial Maintenance Technician knowledge
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Must be able and willing to work independently and as a team member in varying conditions (heat, cold, indoor/outdoor and heights up to 50 feet).
- Knowledge of proper PPE for each job performed.
Qualifications:
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Must meet the requirements of all previous levels.
- Ability to train others in all skills required for Basic Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician 1, and Industrial Maintenance Technician 2.
- Three or more years of experience in PLC and HMI programming.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems.
- General knowledge and understanding of vertical mill and horizontal lathe operations.
- Advanced welding and fabrication skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in using all fabrication equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic AC problems.
- Ability to operate a Bobcat.
- Proficiency in using carpentry equipment for building.
- Understanding of CNC programming and ability to identify faults.
- In-depth knowledge of complex electrical troubleshooting.
- Good working knowledge of residential electrical wiring systems.
- Experience with electrical aptitude (Volts, Amps, Ohms, and electrical current) and ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control circuits.
- Prior experience in automation, PLC controls, robotics, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
