Cardinal Glass in Easton, PA has an immediate full time opening for a Safety Manager. This position is responsible for developing policies and training programs used to promote health and safety awareness within the facility while minimizing risk.

Job Duties

• Develop and enforce OSHA & Cardinal Safety policies
• Administer all new hire and annual safety training
• Purchase and supply all PPE for employees
• Conduct routine inspections of various departments within the facility
• Work with employees to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
• Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
• Perform accident investigations and close calls
• Maintain records of safety related incidents and propose corrective actions
• Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities (Job Safety Analysis)
• Participate in company safety scope audits
• Perform contractor safety orientation when appropriate
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, industrial hygiene, or related field. In lieu of a degree, practical experience in safety related field is required
• Computer literate in regards to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in training, teaching, and/or problem solving with groups and individuals
• Analytic and investigative skills with a track record of being able to solve problems
• Organizational skills
• Team first mentality
• Operate with a positive, professional, and respectful approach
• ASP/CSP/OSHA10 or 30 is preferred, but not required
• VPP certification experience a plus
