Summary
As a volunteer/Foster Coordinator at Cardinal Grace Animal Rescue, you will play a vital role in managing our foster care program, ensuring that rescued animals receive the love and care they deserve. Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard foster families to provide temporary homes for rescued animals.
- Manage relationships with foster caregivers, offering support and guidance throughout the fostering process.
- Coordinate the placement of animals into foster homes based on their individual needs.
- Organize training sessions for foster families on animal care and behavior.
- Monitor the progress of animals in foster care, ensuring their health and well-being.
- Utilize social media platforms to promote available foster animals and engage the community.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to schedule necessary medical care for fostered animals.
- Assist in organizing fundraising events to support the rescue's mission.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in recruiting or volunteer management, preferably within an animal welfare context.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with foster families and team members.
- Familiarity with social media management and public outreach strategies.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with Raiser Edge or similar fundraising software is a plus.
- Background in social work or community engagement is beneficial but not required.
