As a Transportation Coordinator at Cardinal Grace Animal Rescue, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient transportation of animals to various locations. This role is vital in supporting our mission to rescue and care for animals, ensuring they receive the attention they need.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate transportation schedules for rescued animals to veterinary clinics, foster homes, and adoption events.
- coordinate transport to and from rescue partners
- Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and external partners regarding transport logistics.
- Monitor the condition of animals during transport to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and animal status updates.
- Assist in training volunteers on proper handling and transport procedures.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure timely medical care for transported animals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in animal care or rescue operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transportation schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and external partners.
- Basic knowledge of animal welfare regulations and best practices is a plus.
