Cardinal Hayes Home for Children is seeking a Payroll/Accounting Specialist to work out of their Millbrook NY office.
Under direct and indirect supervision, the Payroll/Accounting Specialist shall be responsible for processing payroll, preparing month end GL entries for Payroll, all payroll reporting, vendor payment, pension upload and other payroll related responsibilities, month end analysis and GL entries relating to AP and bank reconciliations (excluding payroll) including research/follow up on outstanding items.
Essential Job Functions:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for two entities using ADP payroll software including review of time and attendance
- Coordinate with HR department as needed to ensure all payroll related items are entered and submitted by established deadlines
- Maintain Time off Balances
- Process incentive payments, stipends, sell backs and all other non-worked earnings in accordance with established agency guidelines
- Complete calculations for Blended OT, spread of hours and any other manual related items to be incorporated into the payroll
- Prepare payroll reports and distribute as needed
- Process pension file including upload to vendor site
- Prepare and post all Payroll related entries
- Provide ADP reports to AP Specialist for processing manual payments
- Prepare and process quarterly and annual reports and invoices
- Update Payroll procedures as necessary
- Prepare/process entries for Prepaid/Fixed Assets and any other AP accounts as assigned by Director of Finance
- Prepare analysis spreadsheets monthly for AP related accounts
- Create monthly AP aging and follow up with AP Specialist on any delinquent outstanding items
- Process bank reconciliations for all agency and school accounts (except Payroll) in Fund EZ software
- Analysis of GL accounts and processing of GL entries as per direction of Director of Finance

Qualifications and Education Requirements*:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- Experience with ADP payroll and Fund EZ accounting software or similar preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook required
- 1-3 years related Payroll/GL experience required
- Valid Driver’s License preferred

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
