Cardinal Spellman High School, a dynamic, co-educational Catholic High School ( 9-12) in Brockton, MA., is seeking a full-time, Spanish Language teacher, beginning immediately.
The candidate must be qualified to teach Spanish courses including Spanish1- Spanish 4, at the College Preparatory and Honors levels.
At least 3 years experience teaching in a College Preparatory High School setting.
Responsibilities include:
Instruct students in all aspects of language learning, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the target language.
Positively impact student achievement, using appropriate instructional strategies, and strong knowledge of the appropriate curriculum and content area
Plan and execute engaging, standards-based lessons and units aligned to the CSHS curriculum guides
Participate in all aspects of positive culture and community building in the classroom and at school events
Effectively manage and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that supports academic risk-taking
Understand, appreciate and make accommodations for diverse student needs and learning styles
Participate in professional development for continuous learning
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an environment of mutual respect and appreciation for all members of the school community
