Cardinal Staffing is immediately hiring a Seat Complete Engineer for a large, well-known manufacturing client in Roseville, MI.
The Seat Complete Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and integration of complete seat systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and aesthetic requirements. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver high-quality seating solutions within program timelines.
1st shift Available start time 6am. Occasional overtime is available.
Pay depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Seat Design and Development : Lead the design and development of complete seat systems, including structure, foam, trim, mechanisms, and electronic components.
- Customer Collaboration : Work directly with customers to gather requirements, present design solutions, and address concerns throughout the development process.
- Validation and Testing : Oversee testing and validation of seat systems to ensure compliance with safety standards, performance criteria, and durability requirements.
- Supplier Coordination : Collaborate with suppliers to ensure components meet specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Project Management : Manage seat system programs from concept through production launch, ensuring adherence to cost, timing, and quality targets.
- Problem-Solving : Address engineering challenges and implement innovative solutions to optimize seat functionality and manufacturability.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
Qualifications :
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX).
