About the Role
We are presently looking for a dynamic Practice Manager to join our team based out of a practice located in Oakland, New Jersey. This role is an onsite Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM full-time benefits-eligible position. The Practice Manager is responsible for the outpatient practice operations, and oversight of the workflow and performance management of support staff required of cardiology practices.
Compensation: $ 85,000 to $ 95,000 or more per year commensurate with experience.
The Manager works in concert with the Physicians and CardioOne to ensure the delivery of cost-effective, quality patient care in support of business objectives and organizational strategic goals. The Practice Manager oversees operational systems that support CardioOne and the
clinical practice, to include patient scheduling and registration, the scope of the certified Medical Assistants and other clerical and support personnel. The Manager maintains equipment and materials inventory, instructs, and holds staff accountable for policy and procedure adherence, and acts as a liaison with ancillary services, third-party payers, physicians, and management to resolve customer service, patient care, and financial issues.
Job duties
- Supervises clinical and administrative team members and serves as liaison between the practice, managed service organization and physician leaders.
- Establish and implement effective workplace policies and procedures with the support of CardioOne leadership.
- Supervise day-to-day practice operations such as billing, revenue cycle, clinical workflow, patient experience and communications, debt collections, security and occupational health and safety.
- Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and all staff are in compliance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to attract, onboard, develop, reward, manage, and retain all administrative staff.
- Support company EMR staff implementation training and support.
- Continually assess staffing and training needs that supports client requirements.
- Responsible for developing operational standards and workflows that improve effectiveness by streamlining business operational work processes and procedures.
- Organize and maintain up-to-date patient records using electronic health records.
- Interact with patients and address their complaints.
- Acts as a resource in all areas of office operations.
- Responsible for developing and enforcing team member work assignments, maintains a master work schedule and assure staff comply with all scheduled shifts.
- Coordinate regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Physicians to develop business strategies and patient services.
- Ensure office efficiency is maintained by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, layouts, and office systems.
- Identify business challenges and shape effectual benchmark solutions in meeting company objectives.
- Responsible for helping organization obtain brand recognition and financial growth.
- Business development and developing a network of contacts to increase the value of existing and new clients.
- Manage relationships and contracts with vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with company management and physicians to create process driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in a medical office required.
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, other staff members, and community.
- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patient required.
- Knowledge of Athena EMR preferred.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and Slack preferred.
- Clinical training as a medical assistant or LPN (optional)
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
